Cookie Policy

Short version
We don't use tracking cookies. We don't run third-party advertising scripts. We don't profile you. We don't sell your data. That's why this page doesn't pop up a "Manage Cookies" banner.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are tiny text files that websites can store on your device. Some are essential (they help the site work). Others track you across the web for advertising. UK GDPR requires us to tell you about both.
2. What we use
Currently, Onyx Driving sets zero tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is:
- Theory AI session state — your quiz state (which question you're on, your score this session) is held only in your browser's memory while you have the tab open. Not sent anywhere.
- Theory AI adaptive progress (localStorage) — when you use the Theory AI practice mode, we store a small record of which questions you've answered right/wrong, in your own browser only. This powers the adaptive question selection so you get more practice on weak areas. It never leaves your device, isn't sent to us, and you can clear it any time via Settings →︎ Privacy →︎ Clear browsing data.
3. What we don't use
- Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party trackers
- Advertising cookies
- Cross-site tracking
- Re-targeting pixels
- Behaviour profiling
4. If this changes
If we ever add analytics (we're considering Plausible — a privacy-respecting, GDPR-friendly analytics tool that doesn't require cookies), we'll update this page and add a clearly labelled cookie banner that lets you opt out if Plausible would store anything on your device. We will not add Google Analytics.
5. Your control
You can clear any browser storage at any time via your browser's settings — Settings →︎ Privacy →︎ Clear browsing data. No request to us needed.
